SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Wheel is a simple but powerful tool designed to help you get a graphical representation of the present balance between different areas regarding your personal life or organisation, and identify which will most benefit you by improving.

 STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

PREPARATION (excluding materials)

Prepare two wheels - one for 'now' and one for 'future', print them as many as needed (one per participant)

1 Fill out the wheel - what is true now

The wheel is simply a circle split into segments to which you assign categories. The segments are graduated from 0 to 10 with 0 being in the centre of the circle and 10 being at the outside. After choosing part of your wheel, score your sense of satisfaction for each category, with 0 being worst and 10 being best, and enter your score in the box adjacent to the relevant segment.

2 Reflection

After finishing it is time for reflection. What is the shape of your wheel? How does it look? The bigger the web, the better you’re doing. What are the 3 biggest reasons why your wheel looks like this? Which areas are your lowest scoring areas and why? All segments are equally important in living your best life. Are you happy with your wheel?

3 New wheel - the life you'd like to live

After reflection take new empty wheel and draw the wheel you would like to live.

4 Reflect again

Reflect what you can change in your life to achieve it.
